- User’s don’t have the time or patience to figure out how things work.
- User’s don’t make optimal choices, they make satisfycing choice.
Do the following:
- Use conventions and create effective visual hierarchy.
- Clearly define areas and make clickable elements obvious.
- Eliminate distractions and format content to support scanning by being concise.
Principles of Website Design
- Clarity: The website should be easy to read and navigate with a clear and concise layout and design.
- Simplicity: The website should be simple & straight-forward with a min no. of clicks required to complete a task.
- Consistency: The website should be consistent in terms of design, language, navigation.
- Accessibility: to all users including those with disabilities.
